21/05/13 Nottingham bridge slides into place
A 1,100 tonne bridge has been slowly moved into place, directly above Nottingham’s central station. The 104m Karlsruhe Friendship Bridge - named after the city’s German twin town – will carry trams to the station as part of a huge extension to the infrastructure network.

03/05/13 A hub of activity for C315 team
A Taylor Woodrow team has helped to decorate a community centre in Newham, London. In addition to their normal duties on the Connaught Tunnel (C315) project, the group spent three days and 170 man hours painting the local Asta Community Hub, as part of the Stand Out! Make A Difference initiative.

VINCI Construction UK has officially been awarded Investors in Diversity Level 2 status, becoming the largest private sector company in the UK to attain such an accolade.

01/06/2012 - VINCI named preferred bidder for the highways maintenance contract in the Isle of Wight (UK)
The Isle of Wight Council has named VINCI preferred bidder for a 25 1/2-year contract to upgrade and maintain its 821 km of roads. The contract, which is subject to approval of the Department for Transport (DfT), is expected to start in April 2013.

The London Borough of Hounslow Council has named VINCI preferred bidder for a 25 year contract to upgrade and maintain its 432 km of roads and 763 km of pavements.

In Normandy today, GDF SUEZ Chairman and CEO Gérard Mestrallet, VINCI CEO Xavier Huillard, CDC Infrastructure CEO Jean Bensaïd and AREVA CEO Luc Oursel highlighted their energy, economic and social plan connected with the call for bids to site 3,000 MW of wind power off France’s coasts starting in 2015.

01/03/2012 - ENTREPOSE Contracting and VINCI Construction Grands Projets
win LNG storage tanks contract for the Wheatstone project in Australia

ENTREPOSE Projets, a subsidiary of ENTREPOSE Contracting, and VINCI Construction Grands Projets, both subsidiaries of VINCI, have just signed, in a joint venture with Thiess Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Leighton Holdings Limited, an engineering, procurement and construction contract for approximately AUD 500 million (about €400 million) covering two full containment liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tanks with a capacity of 150,000 cubic metres each as well as two condensate storage tanks with a capacity of 120,000 cubic metres each.

22/02/2012 - Opening of Phase 1 of Line 3 of the Cairo metro
Line 3 of the Cairo metro was opened on 21 February 2012. This first phase includes five underground stations (Attaba, Bab el Shaaria, El Geish, Abdou Pasha and Abbasia) and serves the eastern part of Cairo from the city centre.
