We have many years’ experience in the highly regulated water and sewage treatment sector, and has successfully delivered over 100 works orders for Severn Trent Water (STW).
Our remit under the AMP4 (Asset Management Programme 4) was to improve and renew water and sewage treatment installations across the counties of Shropshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire. The value of these collaborative multi-discipline contracts under the AMP4 programme was £90m, undertaken in joint venture (VMWH).
The £25m scheme at the Bamford WTW, which supplies potable water to 1.5million people, comprises a new chlorine contact tank, lime mixing and dosing facility and a dissolved air floatation and flocculation plant. Works programmes needed to be integrated into the ongoing operation of the facility, requiring planned shut downs coordinated with STW’s central operational planners.
