The King’s Cross Redevelopment Programme featured:
- a vast number of stakeholders directly or indirectly involved with the scheme
- a CEEQUAL Excellent rating achieved for sustainability
- winning a Multitude of awards including recognition for our conservation work on the Western Range
Taylor Woodrow were awarded three contracts:
The design, construction, testing and commissioning of new footbridge, lifts and stairs, platform resurfacing and new communications systems.
The project involved a series of possessions and five blockades to minimise disruption, and resurfacing works undertaken when the station was closed
The design, construction, testing and commissioning of a 10m deep basement to house a plant room and service yard;
Restored the façade of the western elevation of the Grade 1 Listed station, refurbishment and adaptation of the Western Range behind this façade, a new ticket hall adjacent to Platform 8 and a new iconic glazed Western Concourse.
