Job Role:

Taylor Woodrow is recruiting for a Section Manager to join their team working on the delivery of the infrastructure to support the construction of 10,000 homes at Enfield Council's £6Bn Meridian Water development.

This £80M framework involves the remediation of the existing site and construction of roads, bridges and flood mitigation measures; as well as electricity, gas, communications, water connections and hectares of newly landscaped parkland areas.


Duties:

Oversee the delivery, control and validation of Earthworks, Remediation and Drainage Permanent and Temporary Works Design and its coordination within the design of the Sub-Lot.

Manage compliance with technical and contractual requirements, especially with regards to Health & Safety and Environment.

Ensure that enough resources are allocated to the Works Section and that each has an appropriate level of ability. 

Oversee the mobilization, demobilization and relocation of resources in accordance with the programme.

Identify longer-term strategic training to support individual development as required.

SKE on Earthworks, remediation and drainage on major Projects.

Conduct site audits and take appropriate action on the findings.

Overall management of Handover Documentation and Procedures for Section.

Responsible for ensuring Earthworks Remediation and Drainage LTQR’s are compiled and accepted.


Person Specification

Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Extensive experience in managing earthworks ideally on a major infrastructure project.

Professional accreditation (e.g. ICE, IHT, CMI) is desirable.

Proven track record in managing medium-sized teams.

Good working knowledge of NEC.
