Community Investment Coordinator

Balfour Beatty VINCI SYSTRA Joint venture is recruiting for a Community Investment Coordinator to join the joint venture responsible for the construction and delivery of HS2ís Old Oak Common station in North West London. The circa £1bn project will include the delivery of six underground platforms as well as up to eight platforms on the adjacent Great Western Main Line.

Reporting to the Senior Community Stakeholder Manager, the Community Investment Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the project are meeting their targets within community investments.



  • Compile and deliver Community Investment plans together with the wider community team
  • Coordinate the required resources and attend community engagement events such as public exhibitions and community meetings.
  • Manage community investment and corporate social responsibility initiatives
  • Manage supply chain accountability for community investment, including any reporting of data
  • Develop a bank of community investment initiatives which can be cascaded down to the project team and supply chain
  • Coordinate and attend relevant project and supply chain meetings to ensure that all community investment activities are planned and delivered within required timescales
  • Contribute to training workshops, ensuring the wider project team and supply chain are aware of community investment opportunities
  • Ensure that community safety is given priority consideration in all activities undertaken on behalf of the project
  • Support employee fundraising and social events
  • Support the community engagement team as required


Person Specification

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and the local community
  • Experience in dealing with the public and external parties or managing charity/community events
  • Knowledge of public relations and an understanding of how media works
