Taylor Woodrow Awarded North London Heat and Power Contract

The package of works, known as EcoPark South, will see the team deliver a flagship Resource Recovery Facility with capacity to manage 135,000 tonnes of recyclable material every year, as well as the first ever public Reuse and Recycling Centre at the site. EcoPark House will open up the site to the public, providing a knowledge-sharing hub for waste prevention and recycling.

The project is the first phase in North London Waste Authoritys plan to build a 1.2bn sustainable waste management hub at Edmonton EcoPark. The scheme is a vital part of the green recovery in Enfield, helping to boost local jobs and apprenticeships and support the emerging high-tech industrial cluster in the area.

Julian Gatward, Managing Director of Taylor Woodrow said:

We are delighted to have been appointed to deliver the EcoPark South Project to contribute towards a more sustainable future for waste in North London.

"We are committed to sustainable construction to deliver a world-class facility, which will benefit the local community for years to come."

Preparation works will take place throughout the remainder of 2020, with the team set to begin construction early 2021.
