High Speed 2 Old Oak Common Station

High Speed 2 Old Oak Common Station

High Speed 2 (HS2) is a state-of-the-art high speed line critical for the UK’s low carbon transport future.

Our Balfour Beatty VINCI SYTRA joint venture is responsible for the final design, construction and commissioning of Old Oak Common Station - the new super hub that is set to be the UK’s best-connected rail station.

Situated in North West London, the completed station will include six underground platforms and up to eight platforms on the adjacent Great Western Main Line. It will also provide high speed rail services to the Midlands, central London, Scotland and the North, as well as direct services to three major airports.

At peak of construction, the project will employ a direct management team of 140 and a wider workforce of approximately 2,500. Construction of the station will support up to 65,000 jobs and 25,000 homes in the local area, helping kick-start one of Britain’s largest regeneration projects and transforming the former railway and industrial area.
