We are on a continuous journey to provide a better future for us all. Being part of our team means respecting each other, challenging ourselves to be the best we can, and building a business that we are all proud to be part of.
Fairness, Inclusion and Respect (FIR)
Different experiences and viewpoints are what makes our team strong and our business successful.
We celebrate our diversity and make sure that everyone’s voice is heard. Fairness, Inclusion and Respect is about treating everyone as individuals and fostering an environment where we can all be our best and thrive.
It is a continuous journey and one that we are committed to, taking part in initiatives such as Pride Month and International Women in Engineering Day to open up conversations, make sure people know it’s ok to be themselves, and help us connect with each other.
Our Academy brings all our learning and career development expertise under one roof and works closely with team members to plan and develop careers, build confidence, and help them achieve their full potential.
Professional qualifications and memberships are encouraged to challenge team members to be the best they can in their area of specialism. These are supported by structured career development paths, which have been established for Engineers and Quantity Surveyors so-far. They provide a defined route-map for development and align with the ICE and RICS Professional Memberships, with a strong mentoring focus. Our programmes provide a specified set of competencies that candidates achieve at their own pace to continuously develop and reach their next career goal.

We work hard on our communications to make sure that everyone feels connected and value opportunities for face-to-face communications like our annual Taylor Woodrow Live events. They involve the whole team taking time out to celebrate our achievements and talk about the future of our business, whilst also providing a great networking opportunity.
We measure engagement annually to understand how our team is feeling. The results of the survey feed directly into our business plan so that we can do more of what we’re doing well and work on any areas for improvement.
